“We had the best experience at the ranch.”
The three pillars of what makes Richard’s Ranch.
Named for our father, Richard. Our family is the fourth generation on this land, and we wanted his memory to live in a place where people come together. The barn is built entirely of wood, with timber beams overhead and string lights and iron chandeliers across the room. The main floor is open end to end, so it can be set up for dinner, dancing or both, and large front doors open straight out to the grounds.
Our mature almond orchard sits right beside the barn and sets the tone for the rest of the property. Late winter brings the almond bloom, spring brings new leaves, and summer brings full, green shade. The rows work as a ceremony site for weddings and as an outdoor dining room for seasonal events. During the bloom, we host a dinner among the trees with our wine on the table, so guests can enjoy the orchard at its best.
The ranch has five wines: sparkling, Chardonnay, Cabernet, Grenache and Bellissima, a white blend. The grapes are handpicked, bottled in Lodi and kept in cold storage on site. You’ll find our wine at every wedding and event we host.

One family, one barn, and the land around it.
Richard’s Ranch sits on Grimes Avenue in Modesto. The family farms the almond orchard, tends the vines and opens the barn for weddings, suppers and seasonal events through the year.
